Job Description

A growing nonprofit in the Baltimore metro area seeks a qualified and experienced Senior Accountant

Duties:

• Record and reconcile transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process invoices, payments, and payroll, while managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of cash flow forecasts.
• Develop and monitor budgets, tracking expenditures and preparing variance analyses.
• Prepare financial reports for funders, ensuring compliance with grant reporting requirements.
• Assist with annual audits, providing necessary documentation and answering auditor questions.
• Maintain and improve internal accounting controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with other staff, external vendors, and auditors to ensure smooth financial operations.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3-5 Years experience years of experience in accounting
